Historical Roots:

The Oyo State School of Nursing, initially situated at the Old Army Barracks in Eleyele, Ibadan, and the Oyo State School of Midwifery, established in 1954 at Yemetu, laid the foundation for nursing education in Nigeria. In a significant move on August 24, 2005, these two institutions were amalgamated into what is now known as the Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele, Ibadan. The elevation to a college in 2014 marked a milestone, thanks to the visionary leadership of former Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Some of the courses include Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternity, Surgery, Pediatric Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing.
