“That is believed to be among the top salaries on network television for any actor — male or female — and could be the highest ever for an actress of color on a broadcast drama series,” the Outlet reported.

The Outlet highlighted that the roles of Angela Bassett in the movie 9-1-1 encompasses more than acting as she is also an Executive Producer on the movie. “For Oscar-nominated Bassett, it encompasses other services beyond acting. She was involved in the development of ‘9-1-1,’ which Ryan Murphy created for her,” it noted.

The $450,000 per episode salary however places her as the highest-paid African-American actress in TV history. With a net worth of $25 million as of 2021, Angela Bassett is one of the richest actresses in the United States.
