A case of man’s inhumanity to man occurred in a community in Katsina State when a young lady who had separated from her husband went to his house, lured his four-year-old son out and threw him inside a well, causing the death of the boy.
The lady, whose name was given as Maryam Habibu, aged 18 years, of Leko village, Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State, was said to have caused the death of the boy, whose name was given as Jamilu Rabi’u, aged four years, by throwing the boy into a well apparently due to anger.
It was gathered that the lady went to the house of her former husband around 10:00 p.m., succeeded in luring the boy out of the house into a nearby area where she was said to have thrown him inside a well, causing the death of the boy.

According to a statement on the incident by the state police command through its Public Relations Officer, Isah Gambo, and posted on his Twitter handle on Saturday, the case was reported to the police command and the lady was promptly arrested.

She was said to have confessed committing the offence and the statement added that more investigations are ongoing after which she is expected to be charged to court.
